SmartairJunair - Wright again for leading bus company

Following the installation of a Junair spraybooth early last year, leading bus manufacturer, Wrightbus, have recently taken delivery of their second commercial vehicle spraybooth from the North West based company.

Impressed with reduced process times, energy efficiency and booth performance, the decision to work closely again with Junair was easily reached.

Since completing the initial spraybooth project in early 2006, Wrightbus have also commissioned Junair to replace the paint kitchen facilities and carry out additional small booth installations for off bus panels.

Stephen Lyons, Factory Services Manager at Wrightbus said of the continued partnership: “From the sales process back in 2005, they listened carefully to what we had to say and what we wanted to achieve and went on to deliver all of our objectives in terms of both booth performance and installation time”.

SmartairStephen continued, “Junair not only met, but in many instances surpassed our expectations, thus renewing our faith in spraybooth manufacturers and placing themselves way ahead of the field when it came to considering a second installation.”

Both booths have been installed complete with Junair’s patented auxiliary air moving QADs system, which provides the most effective drying and curing process available on the market today. This revolutionary system is designed to cover the whole vehicle in one operation and provides the ideal environment for both the controlled flash-off of waterborne base coats and the rapid curing of low VOC top coats.

Not only does the use of QADs offer significantly reduced process times, often by as much as 30%, but their unrivalled performance in reducing process times will result in considerable energy savings.

“Having witnessed a stark contrast in the operation of our original booths when compared to the effectiveness of the Junair CV booths with QADs in terms of time reduction and energy saving, we are now considering installing the QADs system in all three of the original booths so as to standardise throughput and productivity” Mr Lyons added.

Junair is the UK’s leading manufacturer of production enhancing equipment for the Bodyshop industry. Since its formation in 1989, Junair has been at the forefront of pioneering developments within the spraybooth oven arena with innovative products such as QADs, Select Control Baking System and SN Automatic Static Reduction setting the standard for others to follow.
