Light years ahead for energy efficiency
Leading spraybooth manufacturer and developer of energy-saving technology, Junair Spraybooths, has developed a new energy-efficient lighting system specifically designed for bodyshop and workshop environments.
There are two bi-linear lighting products in the new range. The EEF750 lighting system provides lighting levels of 750 lux, whilst the EEF500L system offers levels of 500 lux.
Both products incorporate a number of innovative features including sensors that constantly measure the brightness in the workshop. As daylight levels increase the light fittings automatically dim in order to maintain the desired pre-set lux level. Managing and maintaining lux levels automatically in this way avoids over-lighting large areas of the workshop, saving energy.
Sensors also check for workspace occupation. If no persons are detected for a pre set period, the light fittings in that area will switch off. The lighting automatically switches back to the pre set lux level when occupants are detected.
Workplace areas can be zoned for efficient use of daylight and occupant sensors
Commenting on the launch of the new lighting system, Junair Spraybooths’ Managing Director, Neil Morrison, said: “We took the decision to design, develop and manufacture a Junair lighting system after market research showed that no standard product was available that met the specific needs of the bodyshop industry. Our new product addresses those needs. As well as the energy-saving benefits, our system is cost-effective to install and maintain. Light tubes have a long working life and cost very little to replace. The system can also be easily extended, modified or moved to another building.
“We have utilised advanced tube technology to ensure good colour rendition and, aesthetically, the product ticks all the right boxes with a modern, attractive continuous reflector design. And of course, the product meets all motor manufacturer approvals for lighting levels.”
