Boosting Productivity at FMG Repair Services Scunthorpe
Junair’s expertise and well-managed project execution made the entire process smooth. It’s great to be seeing the benefits already.”
With vehicles coming and going all day long, body shop lighting issues are the last thing you need. A problem that Dean Kelly, Technical Services Manager for the Direct Line Group knows all too well.
Direct Line Group have recently acquired the Junair Sirius LED system for their Weybridge Bodyshop, and have installed them at their ‘showcase’ site before continuing throughout the other group sites.
Dean had this to say; “we are particularly challenged by access to day light, because of the work we do, it’s important to replicate that as much as possible. We find ourselves moving cars around to get the best lighting, it’s a bit of a struggle.”
He continues, “I’ve been researching Bodyshop lighting for the past three years, I’ve literally travelled far and wide so when I saw an installation by Junair, I was blown away.”
Working with the automotive industry for over 30 years, Junair know first-hand how critical lighting is in order to achieve a high-quality finish. That is why the company has spent the last 12 months perfecting the latest range of LED lights, SiriusLED.
Sirius LED is designed to illuminate at 1000 – 1500 lux with a colour temperature equivalent to daylight. The lights come with a 5-year warranty, expected life of up to 100,000 hours flicker free and a reduction in energy of 17% compared to typical LED lights.
Dean commented; “these are the closest thing to daylight that I’ve seen, and they look great, I am really looking forward to getting them installed across the group.”
Junair’s engineering team have been working with Direct Line Group to develop the right layout for the system and will be also carrying out the installation.
“Everything we have previously done with Junair has been great, so I have every confidence that this installation will be a success, I’m not losing sleep over it at all.” Said Dean.
“Junair’s lighting not only provides us with energy savings but due to the savings in rectification and rework, it will really pay for itself. It makes absolute sense to me.”
